Their website mentioned no bags allowed but plenty of people had small backpacks. They also gave everyone interested a glass bottom boat tour, pointing out lots to see. We had over an hour after the guided tour to snorkel or scuba dive on our own.įor those that didn't want to snorkel or didn't feel comfortable, they allowed guests to stay on the beach or look around the shallow area. They provided full body wetsuits covering from your head to feet to prevent against stingers but I never saw anything remotely worrisome. ![]() She even brought a lifesaver with her in case folks had trouble snorkeling on their own. The guide Ana was very adept and knowledgeable and she made sure that everyone was safe and together. We saw plenty of fish including a turtle and giant clams. Once the boat stopped, they took us on a guided tour of the coral. We chose Michaelmas Cay because other places seemed to have a dearth of fish and coral. It was a quick 45 minute ride there with plenty of safety instruction given. We also got a little lucky that the waters were pretty calm. We were looking for a quick way to explore the reef without spending hours on a boat getting there and back and Skedaddle delivered! After reading their website, we were a little worried about how fast the boat would go, but we felt completely safe the whole time.
